Cold weather is upon us. Warm gloves and scarves are a comfort. Outdoors your leaves are probably picked up and the grass has its winter fertilizer on it. Fall leaves around the base of trees and plants helps insulate them against the cold. You can call your local lawn care service to help put up Christmas lights. Happy Holidays.
Warm weather brings tulips to full bloom. Remember that to have a great crop next year leave the foliage in place until they dry out completely. It is difficult, but, worth it in the hearty blooms that result. Don't forget that spraying vinegar on weeds is an earth-kind way to stop them from taking over your property. Dish soap and water in a spray bottle is a great way to keep bugs at bay. I plant Marigolds in my vegetables to deter bugs and Lavender and Herbs in areas where I want to discourage deer. Deer love to eat green peppers and rose blossoms. Happy gardening!
I recently learned about a product to keep pest from your plants that is safe for animals. It's active ingredient comes from Cursanthemums. The name is Bug Stop. Thanks Dave for another great tip!!!!
